1466 GWR Collett design 1400 Class 0-4-2Ttank engine locomotive
Built at Swindon Railway Works in 1936. It type was 'self-sufficient', carrying its own water supply in the large tanks on either side, and its own coal supply at the rear. This design meant that no additional tender was required, and therefore, these engines were quite easy to maneuver and were well suited to shunting duties and Branch Line work. Note: the REAL 1466 is currently numbered 4866.

My Hatley Station model
This splendid model was built for me by Mr Peter Smith of KIRTLEY MODELS - kirtleymodels.com
22nd December 2017: My Hatley Station model is evolving all the time, as I track down suitable models and scenery in a bid to make the model as realistic as possible. Many of these additions illustrate situations that occurred in the various episodes, such as: the grey wagon that housed the lion, and the horse box (and Land Rover) that came to collect the horse in 'Horse Play'. There is also the Rolls Royce as seen in 'Action Stations', when Lady Lawrence came to meet 'Dr Beeching' off the train.
Other recent additions include the row of trees behind Harry's signal box, and the 'clump' of three Cypress trees next to the bridge.
The following collection of photos show the new trees on the layout, the Rolls Royce parked just inside the station yard, and the Land Rover and horse box, before and after a little muddy weathering has been applied.

4th January 2018: Today, the shunting engine 1466 arrived. These photos show it working around the Hatley sidings, whilst it's 'business as usual' for 'Blossom'.
